Is
euthanasia discussed during volunteer orientation?
Yes, we do discuss euthanasia during the
session. Specifically, we discuss the crisis of cat
overpopulation and its impact. We recommend that parents
discuss this information with children prior to attending
orientation.

Are there any age
requirements to volunteer at CAHS?
Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age to
volunteer. Those volunteers which are between the ages of 12-15 must
attend general orientation with a parent or adult buddy over the age
of 18 and that person must also accompany them at all times while
volunteering at the shelter.
