For more than 125 years, the Capital Area Humane Society has been making a difference in the lives of animals and people in our community.  As a local, non-profit organization, 98 percent of our funding comes from donations and fees for services.  Our work is made possible by your investment in our mission.

My name is Melissa. I'm the Cat of the Month for July here at the Capital Area Humane Society.  Please help all the pets in your life have a safe holiday weekend!  Keep us safe from fireworks, crowds and cookout treats that aren't good for us.  I'll be taking July 4 off for the holiday but we are "business as usual" on July 3 and 5.

 

Get smitten with a kitten!  We have lots of really cute youngsters who need homes.  If you are looking for a me, I'll be in Room A waiting to meet you!
