due to the amount of animals that come through our shelter each week, we are not able to post
all of our animal's photos. Please visit our shelter to meet all our adoptable animals in person! We are
open seven days a week for your convenience.

Within the next couple of months, we will be entering kitten season. This is the time of year that cats breed, producing litters of unwanted kittens. We will see a drastic increase in the number of cats brought to our shelter. Did you know that two unaltered cats and their offspring can produce 80,399,780 babies within ten years?

The Capital Area Humane Society is the only open admission shelter accepting cats year round. If you are in the market for a new feline friend, please consider adopting one of our many wonderful cats and kittens who need forever homes. If you already have a cat, please make sure your pet is spayed or neutered to help control pet overpopulation.
