Admissions
If you find a stray cat or kitten, we encourage you to visit
www.petfbi.org to see if they
are listed as lost and might be returned directly to their owner.
If you find a stray dog, please contact Franklin County Animal
Control at 614-462-3400.
If you want to surrender an animal to the Capital Area Humane
Society, you have two options: by appointment or as a
"walk-in". We are offering appointments, particularly for
owned pets, in order to provide you with better service. You
will need to provide a photo id and proof of ownership of the
animal.
Our
hours for walk-in assistance are as follows: 2:00 pm to 6:00
pm Monday through Friday, and 12 noon to 4:00 pm on Saturday and
Sunday.
There are requested donations associated with surrendering any
animal, including strays. We suggest $10 for a stray cat and
$45 for owned cats and dogs. For other animals, see below.
To make an appointment for an animal admission, please call
(614)777-7387 ext. 208 during open hours, which are 2:00 pm to 7:00
pm weekdays and 12 noon to 5:00 pm on weekends.
